Young Harris, GA.

We left for Young Harris on August 24^th at 10am.. After going 103 miles we stopped at the Junction Restaurant at Campobello, SC for a delicious home style meal. After stopping at Cashiers for a rest stop we arrived at the NC border to rest, put on helmets and continue our trip. The last curvy miles thru the NC Mountains were a beautiful and thrilling ride. When we arrived at the Young Harris Motel we had traveled 242 miles.

Day two we set out after breakfast to Blairsville past Two Wheels Only and the Rock Pile to Dahlonega. We parked in the square and those who wanted to shop enjoyed the antique shops while others visited the Gold Museum before lunch. Afterwards, we road back thru the twisters  and through the Wolf Pen, before heading back to Young Harris with a total of 195 miles. Several of us who wanted to ride the Dragon, rode to Deal’s Gap to slay the old demon!! Hurray for Vera who successfully rode the dragon for the first time!

Day three we road the Mountain Loop Ride. After stopping at the Country Store for a rest stop we arrived for lunch at the West Family Restaurant then we rode thru the beautiful Georgia Mountains. We split up for shopping at Helen, Ga. while others visited the snake farm before going back to Young Harris. We traveled about 177 miles today.

Sunday morning we were up for breakfast and ready to make the trip back to Columbia. Thanks George for a wonderfully, safe and well-planned trip once again.
