The Rumblings

NEWSLETTER FOR STAR RIDERS COLUMBIA, SC
CHAPTER #124 July 16, 2007

Cajun called the meeting to order and asked visitors to identify themselves and we had several!  Sheila Cornwell on a Kawasaki Vulcan 800, Larry Douglas on a Vulcan 900, Jamie (Patrick’s nephew) who rides behind Patrick, and Mike Halworth on a V-Star 1100.

Cajun then asked if anyone had new wheels and a few hands went up.

Debbie Ellingson has a new Harley Heritage Softail, Scott has a new Kawasaki 1600 Nomad, Lea has a new fiberglass trike kit, and Andrea has Lea’s old trike kit.

Cajun received an email from Chapter 264 in Charleston and they are once again asking for volunteers to carry state flags in the Charleston VA parade in November.  He will forward the email to anyone interested in volunteering.

One of our members has asked Cajun for roster information so he can keep in touch with other members.  We agreed to mark the sign in sheet as to whether or not our info can be shared.

Curt announced that the Saturday ride had not been planned yet, but advised everyone to keep an eye on the message board for updated postings.  Lea reminded us that blank ride waivers are available.

Jim Ballenger announced that anyone going to Stardays in Chattanooga should get in touch with him.  The group going plans to meet at the Waffle House Tuesday July 24th at 6:00 AM.  Everyone there will exchange cell phone numbers.

The treasurer’s report was given and Craig won the 50/50.  Lea has Chapter 124 business cards available as well as pins, patches and stickers for sale.

We welcomed new member Donna Gibson and adjourned the meeting.

Respectfully Submitted,

Andrea Collum
