On the ride to Star breakfast on Saturday two of the Florence Chapter members, the VP Jerry Purvis and Treasurer Adam Gilley were in an accident. They are in MUSC, Adam had surgery last night on his leg and arm and will be going back to surgery today for his shoulder. Jerry was operated on this morning to stabilize and repair his broken neck. Everyone keep them and the Florence chapter in your thoughts and prayers and be reminded that motorcycling can be dangerous, so watch out for cars---they don’t look out for bikers!!!
Camp Kemo ride is Sunday June 10th at 2pm from Carolina Honda with a new Toy. The parade is on Monday June 11th, line up at Five Points at 9am. Tues June 12th give rides for the kids at camp please bring helmets. It is the highlight for week for the kids so we need as many bikes as possible
Star Days riders meet with Jim Ballenger at the end of the meeting.
Curt says that Saturday ride will co-ordinate with Beaufort Cancer Run, and meets up with Mike in Hardeeville. Mike said that he and Patrick and Cajun will probably go down on Friday night but if anyone wants to ride down on Saturday morning we will arrange a meeting place on I-26. We will ride from Beaufort to Mt Pleasant to Dillon the first day. Check web site for route. There will be a $20 entry fee.
June club ride is open. Get with Curt if interested in planning a ride. Group rides are planned and generally keep close to the speed limit.
John won the 50/50. Copy of treasurer’s report was given to the Secretary. Some members haven’t picked up their new T-shirts yet. We will bring them back to the meeting in June.
Carrie reminded group of the June 2nd ride for Beaufort Cancer Center. A member of Carrie’s sister group gets treatment. She will post information on the web site; there will be a bike show, buffet, tour of the center and other activities.
Meeting adjourned and everyone was encouraged to come back next month.
