New Years Day Ride

Despite a rainy forecast for New Years Day and in spite of the fact that it actually did rain on New Years Day, 5 fearless 124 Starriders assembled to take the opportunity to start the year out on a ride.  Mike Griswold, Rick and Andrea Collum, and Cajun and Lea Cavallier were ready to go; but wait!

"We should stop by Curt and Sue's house and get Curt's lazy butt out of bed.  Sue said she is ready already but Curt is still snoozing." they all shouted.  And sure enough, Curt was soon being told by these now 6 124 Starriders to "Get up and come with us!"  Feeling a bit foolish for feeling a bit lazy, Curt called Patrick and got him fired up too.  Patrick arrived within 20 minutes; ready go - in the rain.

By 11:00 we were all on the road.  The rain was a steady pour, standing water was everywhere.  We decided to head out to Florence and do lunch at a Cracker Barrel which they were sure was open.  About halfway into the ride, the weather broke a bit and the rain had stopped.  We enjoyed a late lunch and had some good laughs as well.  By the time we came out for the ride home, the sunset was preparing a dramatic display for us and a nearly full moon was there to guide us afterwards.

Crazy?  Oh, you bet!  Fun?  Oh, you bet!
