Mike led our last sanctioned ride of the year to Patriot’s Point in Charleston. Mike was pleased with the turnout of six bikes and 8 riders, even though we hit an oil slick near Santee and a truck threw up some trash that broke a windshield. We had a fun ride and lots of exercise on the ship. You can view pictures from a link on the message board by Curt.
The 50/50 was won by Steve Jeffcoat and he donated a portion to Sistercare.
Check the our calendar on the web for dates and times for the Toys for Tots and other December rides. Cajun encouraged everyone to participate and help the less fortunate for Christmas. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather.50/50 rule still stands but it is up to the ride leader to call off a ride.
Our Christmas party is scheduled at Murray’s at our regular meeting time on the third Monday night of December. Price is $10.00 each for a wonderful buffet menu. Cajun requested that we look for donations from the vendors for the door prizes. Curt asked for someone to bring a projector to show pictures he took of our 2006 rides.
Vera has a new set of Silverado bags and mounts for sale for $400.00, valued at $850.00. The proceeds will be donated to our charities.
Don’t forget STAR DAYS July 21-27, 2007 in Chattanooga, Tn. at the Holiday Inn. They have blocked 860 rooms for Star Riders at $70-$139 per night. We can register after January 1,2007. Downtown is only 15 minutes away and free bus rides will be available. Jim, Rick and I and Vera plan to go. There are lots of interesting things planned and Jim will get a route planned and keep us posted for anyone who wants to go with us.
Scott gave us a funny anecdote about what groups could be called in other areas and then the meeting was adjourned.
Respectively submitted
